Cycle through Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes without worrying about your bike box or excess luggage. Reykjavik Bike Tours and Rentals offers cyclists a convenient bike storage solution in the city center of Reykjavik the capital city of Iceland.
Arrive and Ride: If you bring your bike as luggage on your flight you need to know that the international airport is 35 miles from Reykjavik. Our bike shop is in Reykjavik 35 miles from the airport. The shop is open every day in summer from 9 to 5. We can offer you a pick up from the airport, or you find your own way to our shop.
Send your bike to us: You may want to send your bike to us using DHL for example. We’re happy to take delivery of the bike for you but please note you might be liable for import duties. When this happens, the charge can usually be reversed because you’ll be taking the bike back out of the country.
Storage: We offer storage facilities for complete bikes, bike box and luggage. Enjoy the flexibility to leave your excess luggage and equipment behind while exploring Iceland.
Storage facility: Our storage is waterproof, ensuring your precious bike and other equipment is protected from the elements.
Rent a bike or bring your own? If you’re planning a short bicycle trip in Iceland, we recommend you simply rent a bicycle from us. We offer a wide range of bicycles in all sizes. If you’re planning to spend two weeks or more in the country on a bicycle it usually works out less expensive to bring your own bicycle. Another benefit of bringing your own bicycle to Iceland is that you know the quality and limits of your own bicycle.
Storage price: ISK 5000 per item for the first day. Thereafter ISK 1000 per day.
Bicycle assembly + disassembly: We unpack and assemble bicycles at our shop (same place as our storage facility). Hourly rate is ISK 13.000 plus cost of packing materials such as cardboard boxes, padding and duct tape (cloth based watertight tape) if used.
Bicycle and luggage box transfers: We offer bicycle and bike box transfers for a fee.
