Our most challenging ride !

We travel from Reykjavik to Lake Thingvallavatn in a vehicle carrying the bicycles with us. You’ll get to cycle around the entire lake if you can make it within the limits of the tour time. A part of the route is within Iceland’s first national park Thingvellir but most of the way you’ll be traveling on quiet secondary roads around the the lake.

Highlights:

Icelandic nature and space.

Iceland’s first national park, est. in 1930. The park was included on the UNESCO world heritage list in 2004.

Rift valley between two continents, i.e. the American continent and the Europe-Asia continent.

Iceland’s largest natural inland lake

Volcanic formations such as lava fields, cinder craters, palagonite tuff ridges and mountains.

Farmlands and holiday cottage areas.

• Difficulty: Fairly challenging. Vehicle support throughout.
